Start menu with Windows 8 or 8.1

You want to find the start menu in Windows 8 or Windows 8.1? Do not worry, we'll see together how to deal with this trick. You will be able to find your old reflexes of use acquired during many years. On your marks, get set, go!

If recent additions to Windows 8 are numerous, some features are sorely lacking. The absence of the start menu is the perfect example. This menu, which allowed quick access to all programs, Windows documents and settings, has always been appreciated by the users and its disappearance requires a completely new approach to Windows 8. But fortunately, it is possible to find the start menu in Windows 8.

Many programs to restore the Start menu in Windows 8 are available as Start 8 Ex7forW8 or 8StartButton. For this tip, we chose to use Classic Shell: this free software is indeed effective and can also add a toolbar to Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer. In addition, it has numerous personalization options.

Start first by download Classic Shell.

The software installation is done conventionally, nothing to report from that side. Once installation is complete, the new button start took place in the Windows task bar 8. A window also proposes to make the first settings including selecting the menu style you want to start: Classic menu, menu two columns or Windows 7-style menu.

The default button is the Classic Shell (a shell), but you can choose another one in the program options or, if you prefer, use an image of your choice to personalize it.

Note that if you are running Windows 8.1, the icon of the "pseudo start menu" will be used directly by Classic Shell.

Finally, to access the settings of the program, simply do a right click on the Start button to open the Classic Shell interface and then choose Settings:
