Facebook sets up warnings and filters on the videos 'inappropriate'

If the social network will be a space of freedom, some content may offend its members, especially the younger ones. Facebook therefore developing messages and filters to protect them.


In September 2014, Facebook claimed a billion views on the network videos every day. But for some "inappropriate or improper" content does not offend some of its members, the site is being set up warning messages and filters on the videos they download and share with friends, said a spokesman of the social network January 13, 2015.

The Californian social network, which accepts registrations from 13 years, thus putting in place barriers for younger users to prevent, for example, the age of 18 to see shocking or offensive videos that are shared on their news Feed.
"When people share something on Facebook of them are expected to responsibly share, including targeting will be able to see their content", told AFP a spokesman for the social network.
"In cases where users will report inappropriate material we may have to put a warning for adults, and we can prevent young users from viewing such content," added the spokesman.
Facebook began to implement these messages and filters last November after having set up a system for videos of themselves embarking on current son of subscribers. People are forced to click the warning message to read the disputed videos for example.
However, the warning messages are not placed on YouTube videos shared on the social network.
